IOM Staff Association Tender for IOM Canteen Services

Preliminary
i. The caterer (and its subcontractors) shall hold harmless and indemnify IOM, its affiliates and their respective officers, employees and agents from all claims, losses, damages, costs (including legal costs), expenses and liabilities of every kind and nature resulting from loss and damage to property; and injury /death to any person employed by caterer and any third party.

ii. The caterer shall observe and comply with the provisions of all relevant permits, acts, regulations, by-laws and any other government authority having jurisdiction over the service provision.

Note:
i. Please submit a menu list with unit prices. The caterer is expected to introduce a variety of food services to the canteen and should consider both vegetarian and non-vegetarians.

ii. Please note the caterer will be expected to work as per the IOM working calendar.

iii. The bids should include copies of government business and health permits, previous work references and menu price list.

Expectations
The caterer will be expected to provide the following;

Monthly rent for the kitchen space
Appropriate cutlery and crockery
Provide and maintain insurance cover for its own operations and staff
Provide a wide selection of food; lunch, teas, pastries, salads and snacks as we have multicultural staff
Offer a wide variety of catering services for different kinds of events
Gas burners, ovens, refrigerators, freezers and other equipment need in the catering services
Cleaning services for the kitchen operating area
Maintain high quality services to staff’s satisfaction
Ensure that the service does not in any way interfere with IOM operations
IOM Staff Association reserves the right to accept or reject bids at its own discretion and without communicating any reason thereof.

The bids should be in an envelope clearly marked “STAFF CATERING SERVICES” and this should be dropped at the IOM Tender BOX on Sri Aurobindo Avenue,off Mzima Springs in Lavington, adjacent to Strathmore School.
