Account Director – Creative Y&R – Nairobi

Brand Leadership/Management
Development and implementation of brand, marketing, and communication strategies.
Strategic overview of accounts playing a proactive advisory role for clients on new trends, external environment dynamics, and competitor activity which will be required during strategic planning meetings with clients and throughout the servicing phase.
Oversight and overall responsibility for revenue generation ensuring that your brand portfolio achieves annual financial targets realizing profit and financial growth.
360-degree stewardship of brands ensuring that the agency is able to integrate all disciplines possible in client Brand activities in the marketing & communication strategic plan.
Client Liaison
Act as Agency Brand Lead for your client portfolio. Position yourself as the Client Brand Expert/Advisor on all matters of marketing and communication.
Periodically reporting on brand performance, competitor activity, trends, and threats highlighting implications on client business.
Business Development
Through a top-level understanding of your clients’ business and strategic direction, you will always look for opportunities to grow existing business by offering integrated marketing services from all agency disciplines which will generate additional income that allows you to grow your brand portfolio and the agency’s bottom line.
Closely working with the Agency Strategic Planning team to develop and present new business pitches and proposals.
People Management
You will manage, develop and motivate account management teams tracking performance for growth and retention giving stability to both the agency and the client’s business.
Minimum Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.
Professional Marketing Certification from CIM or equivalent would be an added advantage.

Work Experience
6+ years’ hands-on experience in an Adverting Agency or in a Marketing role with similar responsibilities demonstrating progressive career growth.
