3 Volunteer / Intern – Nairobi – International Transformation Foundation

We are looking for 3 passionate young people under 30 years old from any country to fill in below voluntary positions:

IT & Development Assistant:The ITF’s IT & Development Assistant leads the organization’s process to chart its Youth development course technologically. He/she is responsible for the technological direction of the organization and organizational development.
Administration Assistant: The ITF Admin assistant provide full reception, secretarial and administrative support to all services provided by the organization, as may be required for the effective and efficient operation of, and reporting on the ITF service.
International Relations Assistant-Intern:Assist ITF’s International Relations Assistant responsibilities which include external linkages encompassing communication, fundraising and all ITF’s foreign strategic planning and implementation.

About us
With the belief that insufficient employment opportunities for youth; is a long term problem not only in Kenya but all Africa.International Transformation Foundation (ITF) was established in December 2009 and dully registered in Kenya on 25th August 2010 by amalgamated youth across East Africa as an internationally youth led non-profit organization to provide youth leadership and entrepreneurship programs to harness creativity for Youth system that provide jobs; offering security, opportunities to grow, and contribute to the development of our communities.ITF uses a youth to youth empowerment to be able to identify issues of primary concern to them; develop and implement owned strategies to combat identified youth challenges.

ITF establishes and operating initiatives that connects youth with others rather than alienates them through youth social businesses to help themselves. Currently we are operating:

Join the Pipe Project (Water kiosk at school): Enabling schools to set up on-site water kiosks- with multiple benefits for students. The kiosks are managed by pupils, promoting responsibility and commitment and children no longer need to be absent from school to queue at long distance wells. Overall sanitation and hygiene facilities in schools are improved and money is generated within school through a repaid loan system. Join The Pipe is a sustainable business that sells clean tap water to community residents at an affordable price. The business also reduces plastic waste and CO2 emissions caused by the transportation of unsustainable bottles. 1 slum 100 computers Project: Providing free computer training and entrepreneurship mentoring to youths in eastern Nairobi slums and informal settlements, to be familiar enough with computer applications and design a profitable computer based social business. At completion, they receive loan package of basic equipments worth not exceeding ksh. 250000 to set up designed business plan. See the GBS TV news footage: https://youtu.be/Chx6tVDAm2U
Jijenge Kijana Fund:A youth Livelihood Pathway offering microcredit, micro- saving and training enabling our members to engage in productive and stable livelihoods of their choice.
Leadership & Entrepreneurship Training:Consisting of annual Debate and workshop forums, giving east African youth life didactic principles with rigorous instructions that shoves them to expand their boundaries of knowledge, molding them into great leaders and entrepreneurs.

Compensation
ITF is a hundred percent volunteer run organization therefore volunteer agrees to perform his/her duties without any compensation. The Volunteer is responsible of the basic expenses such as home – office transportation. ITF only provide operational expenses such as volunteer’s transportation to a meeting outside office, visit field operations etc.

Volunteering with ITF provide you with opportunity to grow professionally, making social change happen and have fun while doing it.

Basic Requirements:
