Gender in Emergencies Specialist – Plan International

The Role
The Gender in Emergencies Specialist will work with response teams across the three countries, the Country Gender Specialists and the Regional Gender Advisor to ensure all response programmes are gender aware, gender sensitive, and where required, are also gender transformative. Working with Emergency Response Managers who are responsible for providing strategic and operational oversight to emergency responses in respective countries, the Gender in Emergencies Specialist will have the mandate to deliver on the objectives as per the terms of reference.

The person
The incumbent should have a demonstrable minimum of 7 years work experience in gender in emergency, have good communications and facilitation skills, excellent proposal review and writing, the ability to travel at a short notice as well as willing to spend 50% of the time in the three countries.
