For appointment to this grade, an officer must have
A Diploma in Medical Laboratory sciences /Technology, from a recognized institution.
Registration Certificate issued by the KMLTTB; and
Valid practicing license from the KMLTTB;

Duties and Responsibilities:
This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-
Sampling and receiving samples;
Decontaminating working benches’
Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms and specimens
Preparing and standardizing laboratory reagents and procedures; and
Receiving, collecting, labelling and registering specimens,
Disaggregating specimens for processing and and analysis, and performance routine diagnostic tests
